The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® season is nearly upon us. And, despite the fact that we have had 12 months of prep time, it always seems to sneak up on me! As always, I’m excited to see the work behind the scenes come to life, to work hard and play hard with my co-workers and see the magic that comes from the determination and dedication of the committed Komen 3-Day participants. I’ve been part of the 3-Day® team for more years than I want to admit (it’s in the double digits), but enough to know that there isn’t a single year that’s like the one before. I head into this year’s 3-Day season with gratitude for being part of something so motivational and inspiring. Sure it’s a lot of hard work and there are challenges, but to do it all with the best team in the business makes it so worthwhile.

Last year we celebrated the 3-Day’s 150th event. This year we’ll be celebrating another milestone: the 15th year of the 3-Day. I’m looking forward to seeing how this unfolds throughout our seven-city tour around the country. Last year we also unveiled a new participation type on the 3-Day – the 20-mile walker program. While not new, we’re expanding this program in 2017 and welcoming new and veteran participants who can only join us for one day (Sunday). Check out this post from the 3-Day blog to read more about what’s in store for the 3-Day this season!

If you’re in any of our 3-Day cities, stop by and say hi. We’d love to see you and have you experience the magic of the 3-Day! Michigan August 4 – 6

Twin Cities August 18 – 20

Philadelphia August 25 – 27

Seattle September 15 – 17

Atlanta October 13 – 15

Dallas/Fort Worth November 3 – 5

San Diego November 17 – 19
