We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Rick Winquest!
Position: Technical Production Manager and Site Development
Start Year: 2009 full time – 2007 part time
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? Freelance Music Recording Engineer and Freelance Event Production / Logistics.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? I have been working events most of my working life in one form or another. When the opportunity came to join up with Event 360 and work with the existing staff on events that make a difference to so many, I jumped. Short answer – the staff.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? I would be working with events and sound in some capacity.
Favorite part of your job? Searching and ultimately finding the perfect location for an event.
What do you like to do in your free time? Golf, cycling, running, reading, making music with friends and watching sports.
Most memorable event experience? Last year we did a huge event on the National Mall in DC called Concert for Valor to honor the military. It was extremely challenging working with all of the moving parts throughout almost two weeks of set and strike.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? Orange groves, the beach, Sequoia National Park, Hollywood Bowl Picnic and Music, Dodger stadium, dinner at Sunset Plaza, lunch at Paradise Cove in Malibu (did I mention the beach?), and a drive through Beverly Hills to see if we can find Will Ferrell!. Always looking for a laugh!
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Zip ties, measuring devices, iPad.
