In November we produced our final MuckFest® MS event of the 2016 season. This year we had 36,000 muckers and 2,500 volunteers who helped us reach the $25 million milestone in fundraising to date for the National MS Society. MuckFest MS was held in 11 cities around the country from Boston to Los Angeles and this season we saw it all. From participants kilted up in Philly to a marriage proposal in Dallas. We also saw our fair share of rain but the great thing about MuckFest MS is that more rain makes more muck.

We’re proud to produce the fun obstacle and mud 5K where teams come to laugh and play for a great cause. A few highlights of the season included launching a new event in Dallas, an improved festival experience with individual changing tents, and a new partnership with our national series sponsor AbbVie. The addition of the Muck Squad program was a big highlight of the season. Participants self-selected to be influencers for the event, sharing content with their social networks for an opportunity to earn rewards while increasing Muck social media engagement.

While it’s time to hang up our dirty sneakers for the winter, we’re already planning for an amazing season in 2017. Thank you to all our participants, volunteers, vendors, and partners for helping to create a world free of MS.
