This global pandemic affects all of us, but some are more vulnerable than others. As many of our clients have missions directly focused on health and fighting disease, COVID-19 has presented a clear and present danger to the populations they serve.

We are in awe of how our clients have stepped up in this crisis and worked so quickly to provide crucial information, support and funding to those in the communities they serve who are affected by COVID-19. So we wanted to highlight the many ways that they are helping. Because we are all in this together.

Susan G. Komen®
Komen created a COVID-19 fund to support urgent needs in the breast cancer community. The Komen COVID-19 Action Fund helps ensure important services continue for those in need, including treatment assistance, a helpline, advocacy and research. All dollars raised through the Susan G. Komen 3-Day from April until the end of June will go toward the COVID-19 fund to support urgent needs among our breast cancer community today and ensure support continues into the future. Donate directly to the fund here.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS)
NMSS created a COVID-19 response fund to meet the urgent and expanding needs of the MS community during the crisis. The fund will support virtual programming, provide a partner to navigate the challenges of COVID-19, equip healthcare providers to deliver care, advance research and amplify the voices of the MS movement. Learn more and donate here.

Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN)
Positively Aware and TPAN are committed to keeping their community and staff safe. Their main concern is that everyone, particularly people living with HIV, takes the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones. They are providing COVID-19 information for their community on their website here.

Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF)
MMRF is providing regular updates with COVID-19 information specifically for the unique needs of patients dealing with multiple myeloma, and healthcare providers who treat patients with multiple myeloma. Follow all of their updates here.

Shatterproof
Shatterproof is providing advice and resources for people needing to seek addiction treatment during this crisis. With in-person addiction support group meetings no longer available, this is a particularly difficult time to navigate for those who need to seek treatment or recovery support. Learn more on their website.

ZERO
Zero is currently offering a 2x match for donations to their COVID-19 fund here. Since prostate cancer patients are an at-risk community, ZERO launched the ZERO COVID-19 Support Fund with a $100,000 match to help prostate cancer patients during this time of need. More and more people are losing their jobs or access to medical care as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, and the demand for support is skyrocketing, as many prostate cancer patients face financial and emotional distress. Learn more about the fund on their website.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF)
AHF is providing important safety information for those living with HIV, both for those who might be dealing with COVID-19 directly and those who are figuring out how to seek medical care and get prescriptions in the face of social distancing or lost health insurance. Learn more here.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Michigan
During this difficult time, NAMI recognizes that it is critical that we make every effort to maintain our mental health. Physical distancing puts a unique strain on those who already have underlying mental health issues and can make seeking treatment even harder than usual. NAMI is providing information, support and resources on their website here.
