We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Ruth Briggs!
Position: Field Marketing Coordinator for the Susan G. Komen Seattle 3-Day
Start Year: January 2017
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? I was working as a baby sign language instructor for My Smart Hands. I also ran private Skype sessions with people from all over the world.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? I loved the idea of working for a company that focuses on event planning. I love throwing parties and attending community events in my area.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? I would probably work for Amazon in their fashion department.
Favorite part of your job? So far, it has been working with the fun and passionate people who work for Event 360. I’m excited to meet the veteran walkers from the Seattle 3-Day.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to try new restaurants, read, drink coffee, hang out with my husband and daughter, and spoil our newest addition to the family, our adopted doggy Timmy. He’s a long-haired Chihuahua terrier mix.
Most memorable event experience? I haven’t walked in the 3-Day yet, but I’m thinking about walking the San Diego event. So far, I think the camp show sounds like the most fun!
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? I live south of Seattle, in Tacoma. In Seattle, I would take them to Pike Place Market, where they throw fish and have many cool shops. In Tacoma, I would take them to the Museum of Glass where you can visit the hot shop and watch them make glass art. The EMP which stands for Experience Music Project and the Space Needle are also fun places to visit in Seattle.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? ChapStick, mini first-aid kit, and hand sanitizer.
One word to describe Event 360? Fun.
