We love to pull the curtain back so you can get to know the passionate, fun, kind, knowledgeable people who call Event 360 home. In April, we featured Event Production Manager, Aaron Gringras. Today, we can’t wait for you to learn all about Laura Ferenchik!

Name: Laura Ferenchik

Position: Account Manager

Start Year: 2024

What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? General Manager of the Guest Experience at New Belgium Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina.

What brought you to Event 360? After managing the hospitality side of the Asheville guest experience at New Belgium Brewing for a year, I was ready to step out from behind the scenes and get back on the ground working events. Prior to that role, I spent years managing both consumer-facing and private events at the brewery, and I really missed engaging with guests, creating one-of-a-kind experiences, and being fully “in the weeds” of event planning. I love logistics! As a manager, I was teaching my team those skills, but I wanted to be hands-on again and back in it. I also had a big thirst for travel, connecting with nonprofit organizations, and diving deeper into event production. During my time away from New Belgium, I joined team360, which confirmed that Event 360 was exactly the kind of company I wanted to work for. I kept my finger on the pulse, waited for a full-time opportunity and from there, the rest is history!

If you weren’t working at Event 360, what would you be doing? Hmmmm, great question! If I was still working (and not just galivanting around the globe on an endless travel budget), I’d either be working in event production within the music industry or dive back into the coffee world (I loved being a barista back in the day).

What do you like to do in your free time? All sorts of fun stuff! I take any time I can get to hang out with my husband and our doodle dog. I LOVE to travel, see live music, sit on a beach, nest at home, and spend time with friends and family near and far.

Most memorable event experience? While it’s not an event I helped produce, seeing Phish play at the Sphere in Las Vegas takes the cake…state-of-the-art sound, an incredible venue, a mind-blowing visual experience, and an unbeatable vibe with phans🙂.

You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must-see/do/eat list? Good ol’ New Lenox, Illinois! If we were staying in the burbs (and if it were still around), I’d take them to Ranch Frosties for ice cream, then pop across the street to CP Meat Market to grab a few grill-worthy staples. I’d show them the neighborhood where I grew up and the spot where I saw my very first live concert. We’d have to do a quick drive through Pilcher Park, a forest preserve where my friends and I spent so much time growing up. After that, we’d head into Chicago for all the good stuff — great food, time by the lake, seeing friends, and catching some live music.

On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Not necessarily in my bag, but must-haves for me are a bandana, sunscreen, compression socks, and a hat.
