What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360?
I was in a holding pattern…searching since I graduated last summer with my BBA. I was a full-time student for a few years.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360?
I loved my experience on the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® and I was looking for something INTERESTING….out of the ordinary.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing?
Working full-time in animal rescue, where I currently volunteer, as it is where my heart is.
Favorite part of your job?
The team! All the Field Marketing Coordinators and Market Operations folks are amazing. Everyone has been so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It is so nice and refreshing after coming from my past industry of industrial manufacturing sales.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Hang out with my nieces, volunteer in animal rescue, travel.
Most memorable event experience?
While struggling on day 2, I looked up ahead and saw a “mature” gentleman walking with walking sticks…..he inspired me so much. For the rest of the event I kept saying to myself “one foot in front of the other.”
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list?
The Eastern Market in downtown Detroit on a Saturday morning. Arrive around 8:30 a.m., have a Bloody Mary and lobster omelet at Vivios Bar, go to Bert’s Warehouse to listen to local karaoke around 10:30 a.m., shop for local produce and flowers/plants, listen to some street musicians, and just wander around in the Market. It’s a great way to spend 3 or 4 hours on a Saturday, regardless of the time of year.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag?
Lip gloss, sunglasses, hat(s).
