Position: Purchasing Coordinator
Start Year: 2017
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360?
House Manager at The Chicago Theatre and freelance event producer/manager
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360?
The opportunity to work for a leading event company and work with various nonprofits to help them reach their fundraising goals.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing?
Probably freelancing events in Chicago or working at a music venue.
Favorite part of your job?
Researching and securing food trucks and other fun vendors.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am the bassist and contributing songwriter for the band Honeystone. I also like staying active (biking, hiking, tennis, running). I’m an avid Boston Celtics and St. Louis Blues fan.
Most memorable event experience?
Ahh that’s a tough one! I would say maybe LouFest Music Festival 2016? It was the first year I was the VIP Manager and I’d spent months creating this space and working with vendors. On day 2 of load in it started raining and didn’t stop raining until 1 a.m. the day before the event. The field was completely water logged and we couldn’t get heavy machinery across the grass without it getting stuck. A very stressful situation but we managed to pull it off and have the highest attendance in the festival’s history!
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list?
St. Louis, MO is my hometown:
Eat: Rueben Sandwich from Posh Nosh Deli
Do: City Museum or St. Louis Zoo
See: Show at Duck Room @ Blueberry Hill or at The Pageant
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag?
Sunscreen (I burn easily), pen/notepad, snacks (fruit, nuts, fruit snack, clif bars)
