We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Casey S. Campbell!
Position: Digital and Social Media Specialist
Start Year: 2017
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360?
I was the Front Office Coordinator for Riveron Consulting in Chicago.
What brought you to Event 360?
I’ve always wanted to work in the nonprofit sector and my generation has the benefit of understanding all things social media, so those two things put together with a bachelor’s degree brought me to the marketing team here at Event 360!
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing?
I’d be deciding what flavors of La Croix to purchase at my old office. And updating Salesforce.
Favorite part of your job?
The opportunities to be creative. I get to play with fun topics (like ducks and mud) while working toward a cause (like ending MS or breast cancer). Not many people get to be creative like that!
What do you like to do in your free time?
In college, I majored in acting and minored in PR (with a couple of marketing internships to plump up the minor), so I still pursue non-equity theatre here in Chicago. On top of that, I love playing with my two cats (Bella and Benny), playing piano or chess with my boyfriend (Will), riding my bike along Lake Michigan, and playing intramural volleyball (I’d rate myself a 6 out of 10…which is being generous.)
Most memorable event experience?
MuckFest MS Denver! So far, it’s my only on-event experience with Event 360, but it was a really great opportunity to immerse myself into the cause and experience the energy and passion behind MuckFest MS.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list?
Oooooo, good ol’ Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I’d say head to Angler’s on the pier to try their prime rib pizza. Or head to North 8th Oriental Store to try some authentic Hmong eggrolls. Sheboygan is one of the few Hmong communities in the country, so definitely try to experience the culture while you’re there!
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag?
Sunscreen (It’s my first summer with a shaved head and BOY did I learn my lesson quick), breath strips (I HATE bad breath but I don’t like chewing gum), and chapstick (my lips automatically feel chapped if I can’t find my chapstick).
One word to describe Event 360?
Efficacious.
