Today, our Teammate Spotlight showcases the life and mind of Molly Fast! Don’t forget to follow along as Molly takes over the Event 360 Instagram channel today for a peek into her week!

Name: Molly Fast

Position: Director of Fundraising & Development

Start Year: 2004

What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360?

I did a similar job for a different company that was, at the time, supporting the Operations side of the 3-Day for Susan G. Komen.

Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360?

I followed the 3-Day 😊

If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing?

Working somewhere else in a cause-based environment teaching people how to ask for money for the causes that matter most to them.

Favorite part of your job?

The people. Starting with the amazing family that is Event 360—the incredible team I’m lucky enough to work beside day in and day out. Then the clients, vendors and of course, the participants, who inspire so much of what we do. I also really love helping people realize their fundraising goals and love the chance to work 1:1 with people to figure out what they’ve done, identify opportunities to get them at/over their goal and then celebrate with them when they do inevitably hit their goal!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Explore my city on foot, preferably via public staircases throughout Los Angeles. Hang out with friends and family. Travel to Ireland and help other people plan their trips to Ireland, too!

Most memorable event experience?

We all say this all the time, especially those of us who have been fortunate to do this work for as long as I have but…there are *so many*. One that really stuck out to me was at the Closing Ceremony of the Philadelphia 3-Day in 2016. My sister Kara was walking in memory of her two best friends from childhood who both died at 44 from metastatic breast cancer. When I was done with my work duties, I walked over to find my sister clutching her two daughters as all three of them were sobbing.

You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must-see/do/eat list?

Santa Monica stair walk (10 different staircases totaling just over 1,000 steps up and down). The Farmer’s Market. A delicious meal (Indian burritos, delicious Mexican food, sushi, Italian food, Kebabs—so many options). Then, we’d end the night walking on the Santa Monica Pier and riding on the Ferris Wheel.

On an event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag?

Lip gloss. Work gloves. Blank stationery to write thank you notes.

One word to describe Event 360?

Family.
