We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Paula Hultman!
Position: Participant Support Coordinator
Start Year: 2005
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? I owned an educational supplies/specialty toy store, Bright Ideas for Learning. It was a wonderful outlet for my 20 years of experience as an educator.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? After taking a year off work, I wanted to share my passion for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® as a participant with others, and was offered a position as a Komen 3-Day coach.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? Playing with my sweet grandbabies, Max and Ryder.
Favorite part of your job? Helping first-time participants prepare for their inaugural 3-Day® journey. Each has their own very personal connection to breast cancer that brought them to this event. My goal is to empower them to meet the fundraising and training challenges of the 3-Day. I have succeeded if they have the same extraordinary first-time experience as I had!
What do you like to do in your free time? Visit the local wine country, entertain friends and family with an impromptu pizza party or BBQ. The more, the merrier!
Most memorable event experience? Playing a “serendipitous” 3-Day matchmaker to two strangers who met — then lost — each other at the 2006 San Diego 3-Day, only to be reunited because their calls were randomly routed to me. Let’s just say that Danny and Robin, married now for 6 wonderful years, call me their 3-Day Angel!
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? Sushi at our favorite spot, an ocean sunset at nearby Mugu Rock (in virtually every car commercial featuring a west coast drive), and a day trip to Santa Barbara wine country.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Tissues, lip gloss, sunglasses.
One word to describe Event 360? Extraordinary
