We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Matt Tremback!
Position: Senior Accountant
Start Year: 2009
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? Starting at Event 360 as an intern in college, the job right before was as a bar-back at my uncle’s wine bar. At the beginning of my internship, I was actually working both of those jobs. Before that, I was building backyard ponds and doing construction. Standard run of the mill background for an accountant.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? As a college student studying accountancy, I was just looking for an accounting internship. Luckily, the Controller was my sister’s friend and, five and half years later, I still thank my sister for that friendship.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? Well I’d likely be accounting for another company, but I couldn’t imagine that.
Favorite part of your job? Not needing to confine to the 9 to 5 parameters and working with individuals who are so passionate about their work.
What do you like to do in your free time? A big part of my summer free time is playing 16” softball, it is Chicago after all. Street fests and live music is always a good time, too. The winter is a time for catching up on shows and movies.
Most memorable event experience? Driving Rick’s truck and towing a light around Butler Field during the Susan G. Komen Chicago Race for the Cure®. I think it was my first event experience, and I was tossed right into the thick of things.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? Depending on the friend, hidden gems in different Chicago neighborhoods, or more popular/upscale places in River North. Either way, food and drink would be involved.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Um… I haven’t been on event enough.
One word to describe Event 360? Passionate.
