We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Joanne Harrington!
Position: Field Marketing Coordinator
Start Year: 2014
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? Insurance Agent
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? I’ve had a passion for the 3-Day since 2006 and spent 6 years trying to get a job with Event 360!
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? I’d probably still be doing insurance full time but would be dreaming of retirement in Hawaii or St. Thomas.
Favorite part of your job? Definitely connecting with survivors. They are so passionate and grateful for everything we do.
What do you like to do in your free time? I love to see my grandkids when possible. They don’t live near me so it’s always a challenge. I love to travel whenever possible and I love the Jersey shore. NOT the TV show, the actual New Jersey shore!! My #1 favorite thing to do is anything related to the Philadelphia Eagles. I’m a season ticketholder and a true believer.
Most memorable event experience? I have a HUGE fear of bridges. I walked in Seattle in 2009 and had to walk over a long bridge. I could have gotten a sweep van but chose to face my fear. It was HUGE for me and something I’ll always remember.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? We must go to Geno’s and Pat’s in South Philadelphia for a world famous cheesesteak. It’s a local MUST. We like to show off our beaches so a trip “down the shore” is a definite. As is a trip into Philadelphia to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. In the fall, I’d love to have someone join me at a Philadelphia Eagles game. My true love.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Blister block, blister Band-Aids and tissues
One word to describe Event 360? Powerhouse
