What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? I was an executive assistant for a market research company.

Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? I’ve been a participant and meeting volunteer since 2005 and asked Saralyn Carrillo, who was the Field Marketing Coordinator at the time, if she needed an assistant because I wanted to do what she did. I applied and became the part-time temporary Field Marketing Coordinator!

If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? Working as a secretary at a Frisco public school (I did this years ago and loved it).

Favorite part of your job? Working 1:1 with the participants and helping them succeed with fundraising and training.

What do you like to do in your free time? Hang out with my family or walk.

Most memorable event experience? June 2005 at my first Komen 3-Day in Dallas/Fort Worth – it was about 98 degrees on day two. As I walked into a pit stop, I saw a crew member assist walkers in, help them take their shoes and socks off, wash their feet, help with bandaging, put their clean socks and shoes back on, lift them up, give them a hug and help them on their way while telling them how awesome they were. I was moved to tears and remember that image like it was yesterday.

You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? Eat at my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, Eddie’s Napolis. They treat everyone like family, the food is fantastic, and they pour big glasses of wine! I love to show off the bronze cattle drive sculpture in Downtown Dallas (sometimes pit stop 3 on Day 3), it’s always a good photo op, or the live cattle drive in downtown Fort Worth. We have lots of things to do: amusements parks, water parks, professional and minor league sporting events, lakes, dancing, the list goes on and on.

On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Lipstick (not gloss), fingernail file and my Leatherman.

One word to describe Event 360? Organized.
