This past November we produced the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Run to Honor Veterans 5K Series in 4 markets over 2 weekends. There were many moving parts, and moving staff for that matter, and in the end we came out with over 8,300 happy participants, volunteers, and associated organizations.

We kicked off the first weekend of November with events in Atlanta, GA and Tulsa, OK on the same day. Atlanta is a market we’re very familiar with, having produced numerous events there throughout the years, and this event proved to be another great success. Tulsa is a growing market for events such as this, and the large constituent base for DAV made it a great choice. Beautiful weather, a great site, and solid relationships allowed for great success there as well.

The following weekend found us in Boston, MA and Newport News, VA. These two very different markets both have a large presence of DAV supporters, and each had their own great event representing their local support base very well. Boston in November can bring questionable weather, but we lucked out with a beautiful sunny fall morning along the waterfront. In Newport News we had a great deal of support from the local jurisdiction as well as incredible volunteer assistance to help create a memorable experience for all involved in that first-time market.

We’re proud to be associated with such impressive organizations as Disabled American Veterans. The work that we do to help them further their mission continues to evolve, all the while supporting a cause that is so important to so many people.
