This past November we finished our first season producing the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation’s Team for Cures 5K Walk Run series. More than 16,000 runners and walkers came together in 11 cities across the country, raising $3.2 million in support of the MMRF.

A few highlights from the season include launching two new markets in Dallas and Los Angeles, updating the look and feel of the participant experience, a new streamlined registration system, and rolling out new top fundraiser recognition programs. We saw every form of weather you could imagine this year…from beautiful sunshine in Los Angeles to torrential rain and wind in NYC. We got through it all with our rock star staff and dedicated volunteers. We were also able to support the MMRF on an extremely unique DIY event called The Journey Towards a Cure in Central Park. Could you run 200 miles in 60 hours? Eric Gelber did and he raised $314K for the MMRF. It’s people like Eric and the thousands of others that join us on the Team for Cures 5K events that help this cutting edge organization remove obstacles, move faster and extend lives.

In 2017, we are excited to add two additional markets, Charlotte and South Florida. We’ll also continue to work with the MMRF on expanding their social media program so they can better engage with their supporters.

There is lots of excitement on the horizon as we kick-off our 5K Run/Walk Event series in San Francisco on April 2nd. We challenge you to step up and support MMRF. There are events all over the country so come join us in a city near you!
