It is truly a privilege and a pleasure working in an industry with a common mission: changing the world. We work with a dedicated team that makes an impact every day, clients that make a difference through their missions, and countless volunteers who give selflessly of themselves throughout the year to change the world. Every day is a celebration of sorts, so as Event 360 celebrates our 10th anniversary today, we dreamed of doing something that would send forth a tiny ripple of hope and impact–something that would positively change the world around us.

That’s why today we are launching giveten—a company-wide corporate social responsibility (CSR) program whereby Event 360 team members donate their time and personal resources in their local communities, and share these experiences with one another through @Chatter, our internal social networking and collaboration platform.

In reality, giveten is not a new initiative—Event 360 was founded on a spirit of employee volunteerism. Giving back is rooted in the company that Jeff Shuck, Mike Murphy and Tim Brockman co-founded ten years ago today, and most importantly in the promise that we make to each of our clients: that your mission is our passion.

Coincidentally, #GivingTuesday is also making a major impact today. #GivingTuesday is a new campaign to develop a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season: “We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals….Wouldn’t it be great to have a day for giving back?” Our answer is an enthusiastic, “yes!” To have our birthday on this same day is, well, just perfect.

Stay tuned for more on giveten. As Event 360 team members volunteer in December (and throughout the next ten years!), we’ll be posting stories and photos via this blog and our social networks. You can also email us or Tweet us at @Event360 to nominate a service opportunity in one of the 20+ states where Event 360 team members reside.

Today and every day, we encourage you to make a difference:

Above all, remember, your part matters.
