We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Tisho Jessop!
Position: Fundraising & Support Coach | Twin Cities & Philadelphia | Susan G. Komen 3-Day
Start Year: 2016 (this time around)
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360?
I worked in an art studio managing the front desk, social media, communications and teaching glass fusion classes.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360?
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day®. I’ve been a 3-Day walker since 2008.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing?
I have no idea! I’ve had so many careers over the years: I’ve been an HR recruiter, instructional designer, call center manager, technical writer, bakery assistant…who knows what may be next!
Favorite part of your job?
Talking with 3-Day walkers and crew. Hearing the reasons they participate and helping them meet goals they didn’t think they could reach.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Travel! I still have a huge list of places to see.
Most memorable event experience?
Standing at the finish line of the Philly 3-Day my first year as a coach. Seeing my walkers as they accomplished this incredible goal was priceless. Their expressions of amazement, pride and exhaustion still fill my heart years later.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list?
I just moved 30 minutes south of Atlanta at the end of 2016 so I’m still discovering places. There are so many cute towns! I’d bring my friend to the historic districts and wander through the shops and then go to the multi-use golf cart paths of Peachtree City for a run or walk. And then we would fill our bellies with southern food!
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag?
A USB battery, Tylenol and my iPhone.
