We’re excited to introduce this week’s Event 360 Teammate Spotlight. Enjoy a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Erin Van Ness!
Position: CRM Technical Manager
Start Year: 2011
What job did you hold right before you came to work at Event 360? I helped implement a Federal grant for the Illinois Department of Human Services that provided alternative treatment resources to people battling drug and alcohol addiction.
Was there anything in particular that brought you to Event 360? I was really excited about the opportunity to work with a new array of non-profit organizations.
If you weren’t working at Event 360 what would you be doing? I’d probably be doing something similar to combine technology and non-profit work.
Favorite part of your job? There’s something magical about watching a new website design come to life.
What do you like to do in your free time? Running, yoga, brewing beer, and volunteering for my favorite local independent radio station, CHIRP Radio.
Most memorable event experience? I was moved to tears the first time I visited the remembrance tent on the Chicago 3-Day.
You’re showing off your hometown to a friend who has never been to visit before. What’s on your must see/do/eat list? The Lagunitas tap room is really cool, Revolution has great food and beer, and you should eat the pizza at Cleo’s (where it will be thin crust and not deep dish). Late night, you can’t go wrong with a blues show at Rosa’s, but a trip up north to the Green Mill for jazz or Carol’s for some dive-bar country music is a guaranteed good time.
On event, what three things are we guaranteed to find in your bag? Chapstick and two different kinds of sunblock.
One word to describe Event 360? Wholehearted
