At Event 360 we work hard and play hard. We travel the country going from one event to the next, and in the process we tumble upon some really great places in the cities we work. Be it a restaurant, music venue or book store (to name a few), we have found some must-see attractions and we want to share them with you.
Today, Nanette Schlarmann, Komen San Diego 3-Day Crew and Volunteer Coordinator, shares one her favorite spots in beautiful San Diego!
Name: Pokkirito/RakiRaki Ramen
Convoy – 4646 Convoy Street, San Diego, CA 92111
Little Italy – 2254 India Street, San Diego, CA 92101
What makes this place worth stopping in? Not only does Pokirrito have fantastic build-your-own poke bowls, but they also have amazing sushi burritos. YES! That’s right, you can now get your sushi in a burrito and it’s a divine experience. Poke bowls and burritos are made to order and offer the freshest ingredients.
Don’t like sushi? Depending on the location you visit, the best ramen in San Diego is either in the same building or next door. RakiRaki Ramen has delicious ramen dishes that folks line up for. There is a wide variety of ramen dishes to try.
Both establishments usually have a line, so plan accordingly when you visit.
Must see/do/eat/can’t miss? I get a Mauna Loa, which is the salmon sushi burrito, or if eating at RakiRaki Ramen, I get the Tonkatsu Ramen with Pork Belly. The Chicken Karaage at RakiRaki has also been voted the best in San Diego and is extremely delicious.
