At Event 360 we work hard and play hard. We travel the country going from one event to the next, and in the process we tumble upon some really great places in the cities we work. Be it a restaurant, music venue or book store (to name a few), we have found some must-see attractions and we want to share them with you.
Today, Gayla Cruikshank, Komen 3-Day Field Marketing Coordinator, tells us about one of her favorite spots in Dallas!
Name: Klyde Warren Park
Full address: 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas, TX 75201
What makes this place worth stopping in? The park is built over Woodall Rodgers Freeway and takes up two city blocks between Downtown Dallas and Uptown. There is free wi-fi so you can stay connected, sit around to relax or join in the five activities planned each day. Food Trucks line the south side of the park for lunch, there’s live music, reading and play areas for the kids. You can park at meters close by, valet or park across the street at the Dallas Museum of Art, take the McKinney Avenue Trolley or DART.
Must see/do/eat/can’t miss? Klyde Warren Park is close to so much. You can visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Museum of Art, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, Dallas Holocaust Museum or see a 360 view of Dallas in the iconic observation deck at Reunion Tower. Some favorites Dallas restaurants within walking distance are El Fenix, Stampede 66, and Stephan Pyles.
