Members of the Event 360 team have spent the past two weekends working hard to produce two events in the DAV 5K Run to Honor Veterans series – one in San Diego on November 7th and one in Atlanta on November 14th. This was Event 360’s second year of partnership with the Disabled American Veterans organization. Event 360 provided event management services including route and site scouting and management, vendor management, event operations and event staffing for both events on back-to-back weekends.
One of the best parts about working with one organization to produce multiple events is the opportunity to see one event concept and event experience come to life in two different communities. The DAV 5K in San Diego was warm and sunny, while the event in Atlanta was cool. And chilly. But each had the same core components of the DAV 5K brand: teams and individuals made up of veterans and families and friends of veterans, touching tributes to the men and women who have served our country, and a run led out by dozens of motorcycles supporting the veterans and all of the civilian runners.
We were honored to spend the weekends surrounding Veterans Day with our partners at the DAV 5K Run to Honor Veterans and look forward to 2016 when we will join them for their inaugural events in Tulsa, OK and Tidewater, VA!
