This past weekend, members of the Event 360 team produced the AIDS Walk Atlanta & Music Festival for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Taking place in beautiful Piedmont Park, approximately 5,000 people attended to walk, run, and/or enjoy the festival despite the 95-degree heat! Musical performances included DJ Carisma, Amara La Negra, Raheem De Vaughn, and Atlanta native and headliner, Monica.
The 29th Annual event saw a larger stage, expanded musical lineup, talent trailers and an elevated experience overall — including food trucks, a Festival Village and an awesome VIP Tent. The Event 360 team worked closely with the local AID Atlanta organization, who has been producing the event on their own for 28 years, and the combined efforts made for a beautiful execution.
To further enhance the participant experience and tie everyone back to the mission, the event featured local Community Organization booths, free on-site rapid HIV testing, historical banners spanning the years of the AIDS epidemic, and a large portion of the AIDS Memorial Quilt on display. The Opening Ceremony set the stage for everyone to take meaningful steps on the route.
As with any event, there is always much to learn and many takeaways. Our new partnership is strong and we look forward to carrying those lessons into 2020, and elevating even more for the 30th Anniversary year!
