Smile. Bounce. Hustle. Functional. Togetherness. Responsiveness. Proud. Those are the one-word answers our team gave when asked to describe the 2022 AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5K Run. It was an event day full of true fun, music, and philanthropy. Year after year we’re positively thrilled with our partnership with AIDS Healthcare Foundation and this year was no different.
The timeline felt seamless from the start of event week, with our first set of vendors loading in, to welcoming so many folks on-event, and all the way through their departure of Piedmont Park post-event. It is a large event site build that includes flooring, tents, a mobile stage, and an awesome shade structure. The importance of a well-thought-out timeline is crucial for an event of this size, and it felt like we really found the sweet spot this year.
On the day of the event, the feeling on-site was full of high energy and participants showed up excited for the incredible performance that Trina and Wale put on. Let’s not forget DJ Sed the Saint expertly spinning tunes throughout the day. Needless to say, you could feel the power and energy radiating from every single person there that day.
A thunderstorm gave us a little extra “excitement” on Thursday afternoon as we were setting up, but our team pivoted to account for any damage so that participants on-event wouldn’t even know that anything had happened. Isn’t it always our goal as event planners to make the event look effortless to the participants? All in all, as professionals, we’re walking away from a successful event with notes for the future but with our cups full from a great event.
